Diagnostic technique
"Motivational Possibilities Scale" (MPS)

Online version

Diagnostic technique "Motivational Possibilities Scale" (MPS) was developed by us in 2003 and it is designed to measure the level of the organization's motivational possibility (the possibilities of the realization of professional activity motivators), as well as to predict organizational loyalty. Together with Elena Rodionova, we modified the tehnique to the current version and we constantly check its performance in various organizational conditions. The standardization sample of the test is currently exceeds 4,000 people.

Unlike OCQ and OCS, this technique is not as transparent and it does not cause strong resistance during the filling. Thus, it can be used in a personalized version. Also, the test allows not only to assess the level of employee loyalty, but also to identify the reasons for the appropriate attitude towards the organization, which allows you to build correction programs.

The questionnaire consists of two parts, the first part involves assessing the possibility of implementing motives at the organization, and the second part assess the significance of motives for the respondent. In an applied use case, possibility and significance profiles are built on the same radial grid for their compare. To obtain indicators of the possibility of implementing motives (MPScore) and motivational activity (MA), the arithmetic averages are calculated for all fifteen motives in each part of the test.

It is important to keep in mind that the technique has the greatest value not for personal diagnostics, but for diagnosing the organization as a whole, its divisions, positions, and other intraorganizational groups.

The technique can be freely used only in non-commercial educational and research projects, provided that the following data is provided to us at vrm@dominyak.com: scores for each motive for each participant in the study in two versions - the possibility and significance, gender, age and, if possible, the field of activity for each sample. The data provided will be entered into the database with the indication of authorship for further validation of the technique. We would be grateful if you could provide data in .xls or .csv format.

For commercial use of the technique (in the case when any of the participants in the process of using the questionnaire receives payment, including wages), please contact the authors to discuss the terms of use at info@dominyak.com.

The questionnaire is currently available in English, German, Russian, Italian and Serbian. Below are links to the forms of these test options. Also, some versions of the questionnaire are implemented online. We are working to have more questionnaire options in more languages.
